Ruger 10/22 & American Rimfire both have been tapered rear and either screw or non tapered front sight. The oddball in my safe is a Remington 81. Rear sight is for height and front sight is for windage. Which I need to play with a bit. WebAug 31, 2024 · The rear is a typical U-notch style which works great. It is easy to install with a sight drift tool or a proper vise and punch. I recommend putting a small drop of Loctite on the rear sight set screw.
