WebJul 1, 1993 · The author argues that not only should specific methodological techniques match the research questions being asked, but also those questions should be consistent with the view of the world that one finds most persuasive. It is a process of “discovering who you are as a researcher.” Webstudents‟ writing behaviors, processes, and products in these two settings are contrasted. The differences in the students‟ writing experiences suggest that classroom teachers need to transform our teaching of writing by drawing on students‟ home literacies to ignite their passion and creativity.
